Biographical History
Nadine Hodges was born July 28, 1900 in Missouri. She lived most of her life in Jackson County, Missouri
and Cowley County, Kansas. Nadine compiled and published numerous books containing transcriptions
of records for Missouri counties with her writing partner, Mrs. Howard W. (Audrey L.) Woodruff. Nadine
died March 31, 1993 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Scope and Content
This collection contains Nadine Hodges’ manuscripts with research notes. These manuscripts cover
counties in Missouri and quit rent rolls in Virginia. The majority of the manuscripts were published
between 1960 and 1970. Significant gaps for which no manuscripts exist: 1706-1820.
