Beighle, Byron O.
Biographical History
Byron O. Beighle was born January 19, 1910 in Weston, Oklahoma to Homer and Mabel Beighle. He
attended Blackwell High School in Blackwell, Oklahoma; graduating in 1927. Byron married Laura L.
Houser in the late 1930s. Byron, Laura, and their family continued to live in the Kay County, Oklahoma
area until Byron’s death on August 5, 1994. Laura outlived Byron by 8 years; she died April 26, 2002.
Scope and Content Element
This collection consists of items related to the Blackwell High School (Blackwell, OK) graduating class of
1927. Contents include: report card; The Buckshot-Commencement Edition; letter; reunion program; list
of alumnus; newspaper clipping. There are significant gaps in information from 1930-1987.
