Biographical History
Andrew Elliott was born in 1772 in Ireland. He settled in Holmes County, Ohio. His wife was Elizabeth
Finlay. His brother William Elliott born 1780 moved to Ohio settling first in Jefferson County and then in
Wayne County about 1827. He married Elizabeth Hays. Other Elliott families in Jefferson County Ohio
include Thomas Elliott who died in 1819 and Robert Elliott who died in 1816.
Scope and Content
This collection contains a pedigree chart, family group sheets and documentation related to the Elliott
family of Holmes and Jefferson counties in Ohio. The papers were found inside a book donation about a
related family titled: Edward Kintner and Glada Snyder: Ancestral Genealogy and Tour Guide.
