Biographical History
David Parmley McCampbell was born in Tennessee in 1855 to James McCampbell and Julia Augusta
Edgar. David P. McCampbell married Sallie Elizabeth Bryan on October 15, 1878 in Sevier County,
Tennessee. Sallie died in 1888 at the age of 31.
Scope and Content
The collection contains the genealogical history of the McCampbell family. Within this work are
genealogy charts, family history, and transcribed records. Also found within this collection are
photographs, correspondence, Bible records, genealogy charts, and miscellaneous family histories. The
folders are arranged alphabetically by family name. The collection also contains Michael McCarty and
Margaret Hunger’s family Bible.
