Biographical History
William Franklin Allison and Rhodilla Seever lived in Buchanan County, Missouri. Their son, Fred Allison
married Zetta Faucett in 1910 in Buchanan County. Fred and Zetta moved to Atchison, Kansas where
their youngest child, Betty Lou Allison was born on March 12, 1923. She married Lowell F. Dagenais on
January 9, 1943. Betty lived her entire life in Atchison where she collected family history information
and wrote historical articles and family biographies for over fifty years. Betty L Dagenais died on March
8, 2007.
Scope and Content
This collection contains genealogical information and photographs relating to the Allison family
collected by Betty (Allison) Dagenais. Items include family histories as well as genealogical documents.
Some of the family photos date back to the nineteenth century including one unidentified tin type. Most
of the photographs have been identified and several have descriptions of the event or location of the
photograph. Fred, Zetta, Ed and Velma kept an album of photos taken on a trip to Yellowstone Park
including one of Zetta standing next to a bear.
