Biographical History
Wilma Rector was born in 1911 in Nebraska. She was the daughter of John Ensor Rector and Lavine
Collins. Wilma married Orville Hanks on July 3, 1933. Wilma was a member of the Rebekah Lodge as well
as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She died in 1990 and is buried in
Omaha, Nebraska.
Scope and Content
This collection contains some genealogical information related to the Rector and Collins family from
Nebraska. Other items include personal items belonging to Wilma (Rector) Hanks such as her senior
class book of photos. Some items relate to acquaintances living in and around Norfolk, Nebraska as well
as the Omaha, Nebraska area. One album is comprised of photographs and other items related to
doctors and nurses at Lutheran Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska, and Dr. Cowin’s Hospital in Marshall,
Minnesota.
