Biographical History
Samuel Lamar was born Mary 14, 1819 to Isaac and Hannah Lamar. On November 23, 1842, he married
Judith Baldwin. Samuel was a farmer in Henry County, Indiana and together Samuel and Judith had five
children. Judith died on June 7, 1852 and Samuel remarried Eunice W. Coffin on September 22, 1853.
Samuel and Eunice had three children together. Samuel died on May 10, 1860 and was buried in Henry
County, Indiana.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of the family Bible for the Samuel Lamar family. This Bible contains family
records for births, marriages, and deaths for Samuel, his wife Judith Baldwin, and their children. The
records also contain information on Samuel’s second wife, Eunice Coffin and their children. Also
included in this collection are the scanned family record pages.
