Elizabeth Lee “Betty” Twitchel Chastain was born November 2, 1929 in Marceline, MO. She married Don
Chastain on September 23, 1954. They had 2 children. She worked at yearbook press companies in
Marceline, MO and Shawnee Mission, KS. Betty passed away on August 3, 2012 in North Kansas City,
MO and was buried in Tonganoxie, KS. Betty’s research on her family history spanned 30 years and
focused on the Marceline, MO area.
