Sun [Sunday] Morn [morning] 11:15
Hi “Honey”
Your old man is going to try to think of something to write. News is really scarce. It has really
been nice out this week, hope you are having some good weather also. Looks like I spend my last day in
the office for awhile. We moved it Fri [Friday] over close to the Klaphdor so now I can walk to work. I
imagine I will leave some time tomorrow, I sure have a lot of packing to do. I hate to keep moving
around but I am not the boss. Yesterday was the first day I wore my Kackie’s [khakis] they sure feel
better than the OD’s [Olive Drab] hope they let me wear them down at Murnau [Murnau, Germany]. I
saw “Across the Wide Missouri” last night it wasn’t to good, then I came in and went to bed. I don’t
think I will even go to the show today, so you can see I had another busy weekend. I long so much [page
2] to be with you. I know it would be impossible for you to miss me as much as I miss you. Dam Angel I
love you so much it makes me miserable. Of course Doris is right, so you don’t have to worry anymore.
So you won’t let me write to the Wilks huh? I am quite sure Gene would not waste her time writing to a
married man who is also going to be a father. If we had waited and not got married till I came home just
think of the wonderful mail I could have got. I know you are thinking of all the fun you could have had
to. I may have lost you but a broken heart will heal if you have the right medicine. I believe I will go eat
now, will write a few more lines later. Bye bye,
How-de-do
I have a satisfied stomach so I will put the finishing touches on this. You shall have to forgive
anything I say wrong as I am in [page 3] a terrible mood today. I just finished playing some ping-pong to
digest my dinner, I play it a lot helps to pass the time. I trust you had a good time last night? I hope so
because before long you won’t be able to do much, no thanks to me I wish I had been more careful. I
was thinking it will be the devil when I come home to have a youngen [sic] to bother with everytime [sic]
we want to do something. I think I will close for now so tell all hello for me
Love
Jr Tinder
P.S. I won’t write again till I get to Murnau [Murnau, Germany] and get my permanent address
