Nov [November] 5, 1951 Tue [Tuesday]
Morn. [morning]
My “Darling”
How is the sweetest most wonderful wife of mine this blizzard morning? I hope the weather is
not quite as bad there as it is here. The snow is at least a foot deep and still snowing hard. I guess in
one way I was lucky even thou [sic] I had K.P. [kitchen patrol] for 18 hrs [hours] it was really bad out.
The Guys liked to froze also they had a nite problem last nite so I don’t consider I missed anything. I
suppose mom called you about my good luck Sun [Sunday] nite. I hated it so bad I could of cried but
that wouldn’t do any good and I guess it could have been a lot worse. Now you can for sure call our car
a wreck. I think they are going to get right on it so maybe it will not be to long till it is fixed. Mary K
called late last nite and said it needed 2 new wheels 2 tires 1 tube, new overdrive and some other things
of which I don’t [page 2] know. All in all she said it wasn’t hurt to bad. I wrote mom last night about 11
was so tired and sleepy I told her to call you and say hello. We were supposed to have combat in cities
today but they have called it off for the present. That is how come I get to write this morning although I
was going to write tonight. Darling believe me it was really hard for me to leave you Sun [Sunday] eve
[evening], I am counting the hrs [hours] till I get home this weekend. I love you many many bushels. I
hope after today it starts clearing up so that it will not be to bad for the party. After what Mary K said
about not finding any music I am getting worried don’t know what we will do. I have had enough bad
luck to last me for awhile [sic]. The only good luck I had was getting married (still bashful) nothing is
going to keep me from being happy unless it would be you. over [page 3]Well Baby I suppose I have run
out of something to say so will bum a stamp and mail you this letter
All my love for always, your Husband
Jr Tinder
