This collection consists of the family Bible for Nellie Oleta Griffitts and Abner Jefferson Marks. The cover and some of the pages of the Bible are missing, but the family records sheets within the Bible are complete. This Bible contains some birth, death and marriage information for parents and grandparents as well as children. Dates were recorded in the family bible as late as the 1950. The names and dates were written at different times and in various handwriting.

Biographical History
Nellie Aleta Griffitts, the daughter of Perry Griffitts and Jessie Fende,r was born on October 22, 1908 in
Brighton, Missouri. She married Abner Jefferson Marks in Springfield, Missouri on December 11, 1926.
She later married Joseph Allison Loven. Nellie died on April 12, 1989 and is buried in Brighton Cemetery.
Scope and Content
