Gail "Randy" Randall Thompson, Jr. was born in Bakersfield, CA. At the age of two, his family moved to Kansas City, MO where his folks bought at house South of Waldo at 97th and Warnall. He attended Boone Elementary School and then Center Junior High School. His family later moved to the Westbook neighborhood of Overland Park, KS where he attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School. This interview covers the schools he attended, neighborhoods he lived in, his memory of the JFK assasination, and his first job.
