Biographical History
Maxine McCollum was born October 3, 1911 in Marshall, Illinois to Walter O McCollum and Lyda E
(Moore) McCollum. The family moved to the Kansas City area. Maxine married Walter Carl Treas on
November 3, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas. Together they had one son. At the time of her death in 2006,
Maxine had lived in Johnson County for 69 years.
