Roberta Wiley compiled books of her ancestors, with surname Maddox and allied families, and used
these research materials for the contents of her books. Wiley is a descendant of Notley Maddox and
Nancy Ann Freeman. Research started about 1957 with correspondence between Wiley and other
Maddox descendants.
