Biographical History
Billie Jean Brown was born August 25, 1928 to Edward and Nellie Brown in Ottawa, Franklin County,
Kansas. Jean married Antoni Johannes Van Leiden on October 8, 1950 in Ottawa. They had two sons,
Ricky and Tim. Jean participated in church and community activities and was interested in documenting
her genealogy. She passed away on May 1, 2013 and was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.
Jane Campbell has been researching her genealogy for a number of years. She has continued some of
the family research started by Jean Van Leiden.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of the genealogical research for the Brown Family and families who married
