Biographical History
Ralph Preston began work on his genealogy and family history in the 1990s. His work started at the
Genealogy branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library system; then located at the North Independence
branch. The focus of his work is on his Preston ancestors and his wife’s, Joyce Crichton, ancestors.
Preston discovered many connections between the two sets of ancestors during his research. This
collection is a culmination of the many years of research and work that went into discovering these
families’ history.
