Dear Wife
Just finished dinner so I will drop you a line before formation. Boy will be glad to get out of this
place details all the time. Had K.P. [kitchen patrol] twice since Mon. [Monday] all night and one day they
really keep me busy, must like the name of Tinder. Worked in a Bakery yes, there was a machine over
there that made 2,280 donuts an hour they made a little over 25,000 that is a lot of donuts huh? Went
bowling and a couple of shows since I have been here am going to try to get a pass this weekend may go
to New York. Anything would be better than staying around here. Darling I am really sorry for the way I
was when I was home on leave. I am paying for it now as I am really lonely for you. I love you many,
many bushels. More than I can say on this piece of paper. You will just have to forgive me for being a
bag. What I wouldn’t give for 20 more days by that time I bet I could make you sure I love you better
than anyone. By the way am I still Papa and you Momma [page 2] not know but I bet we are. I have
never wrote mom and them so call them up again for me will you? Tell them I am good and homesick
but otherwise okay. Don’t know when I will leave I am ready anytime. Tell them I will write when I am
not so lazy. I don’t know wether [whether] you have wrote but I hope to find out some time today. If I
am not on detail I may go to a square dance tonight. There is a lot more things to do out here than their
