July, Monday 25

Very pleasent [sic] after the storm the
ground is very wet Went over to
Fitchburgh to get some groceries in
the forenoon in the afternoon finished
one piece of wheat and
drew in a load then took the
reaper a part The boys drove two
cows up to George Douglass this
morning

Rained last night north of us went
to work at the wheat to get some
dry opened 40 dos [dozen] and unbound
some of it drew in three loads
into the barn some of it was damp
could not do anything to advan
-tage [advantage] on account of the rain I
have not finished haying yet

July, Friday 22
Pleasent [sic] went to cuting [sic] east of
the orchard after the dew went off
did not get quite done to day [sic] Willie
Smith came after Jeannie and
Nettie Burrell they have been
here since Tuesday I did not
feel very well so I did not do
anything after supper
July, Saturday 23
Pleasent [sic] finished cuting [sic] wheat and
then drew in a load of wheat into the
barn And then went to Dansville and
took four bush [bushel] of wheat and one of
corn to mill and then went to the quarterly
conference and then run around school
and got my flour and started for
home and Martha came home with
me came by Mr Wessells after Mary
did not get home till ten oclock
July, Sunday 24
We have had two pleasent [sic] days
but this morning looks like rain
Started to go to Dansville to quarterly
meeting went by the way of
H H Burrell and it rained as
soon as we got their [sic] So we did not
get there till after preaching commenced
Elmira came home with us to night [sic]

July, Tuesday 26
Looks like rain again went to work
at the wheat to get some dry to draw
into the barn drew in three loads
in the afternoon in the evening it
came up and rained hard north of
us We have a plenty of wet weather
and wheat as growing in the shock
I have over four loads out yet
