July, Sunday 3
July, Thursday 7
Pleasent [sic] and warm but not
as warm as it has been did not
go to meeting any where [sic] in the fore
noon In the afternoon went to
Sunday school there was but
a few out we talked of haveing [sic]
the school once in two weeks
Cloudy and looks like rain Took
my wool over to Fitchburg to sell
sold to John Hawley for 38 cts [cents]
had 227 lbs was doct [docked] 3 lb leaving
224 amounting to 85, 12 cts [cents] Went
after some lime for Martha 20
bush [bushel] at 25 cts [cents] rained hard this
afternoon go [sic] home little after dark
July, Monday 4
Pleasent [sic] Started early for Dans
ville [Dansville] and went by the way of
Hiram Burrell and took brea
-kfast [breakfast] and they went with us
We all took dinner to Martha
Stayed till five o clock and
then started for home and did
not get there till after dark the
Boy sted [stayed] to the fireworks
July, Tuesday 5
Pleasent [sic] and nice hay day went
to mowing in the forenoon finished
the piece after dinner Raked it
and rolled it up did not get
done till after dark look some
like rain to night The boys
came home from fourth this morn
-ing [morning] They hoed corn awhile
before dinner
July, Wednesday 6
Cloudy and looks some line rained
last night in the night Went over
to Fitchburgh in the forenoon to
sell my wool came home drew
in a load of hay before dinner
and drew one after and then it
commenced to rain and is raining
still in the evening

July, Friday 8
Pleasent [sic] went to Dansville with
the lime and cut the grass in
Marthas yard in the afternoon
drew three loads of sand for
her cellar wall and put up
some of the hay Paid Rice
and Cobb fifty eight dollars
for Martha what she was
owing them Samantha went
to John Nests a visiting
