April, Thursday 28
Plasent [sic] after the shower last
night and the wind blowed [sic] very
hard for a little while wind north
finished sowing oats this fore
noon And hung the gate down to the
road and set a few fence post be
fore dinner in the afternoon
plow the garden and a piece for potatoes
April, Friday 29
Warm and clear finished plowing
garden and sat out some straw
berries and cut some seed potatoes
for the boys to plant in the after
noon Went to Dansville to plow
Martha garden and draw some man
-ure went to the Lodge in the even
-ing Martha was quite sick when I
came there
April, Saturday 30
Looked like rain this morning early
Wrote a letter to Jane and drew out
three loads of manure and plowed
Martha garden in the forenoon
In the afternoon came home and
then went over to Fitchburgh
to take Mother Hopkins over there
and to take Mrs Richmond some
apples and to get some oil and matches
